I remember our outdoor playgrounds were always the empty fields around our neighborhood where we could dream of being many different characters depending on the day. One day it might be a cowgirl, another day we would pack up our lunches and be heading out West.

It was round and the branches bent down to the ground giving my brother and me a perfect place to hide.

But the best ones are those that the kids build themselves.
